Regret

Enough living in safety,
Enough staying grounded.
Enough thinking about what might happen,
Enough standing aside.
Enough living
With regret.
Enough surrounding
Yourself with excuses.
Enough watching the days go by,
Enough hiding from the world.
Enough worrying about what others think of you
Enough boredom
Enough sitting on the couch
Time to live life to the fullest with no regrets.

Red, white, and blue warrior

I am a red, white, and blue warrior
I wonder when I get to return home
I hear shells exploding in the air
I want to hear and see my family again
I am a red, white, and blue warrior

I pretend to believe in the cause
I feel distant and gone
I touch what is the cause for millions of deaths
I worry that I might not get to return home without a flag
I am a red, white, and blue warrior.

I understand what I'm fighting for
I say that I'm protecting my family back home
I dream that I'll see there faces again
I try to keep myself alive
I hope that I survive this war
I am a red, white, and blue warrior.

life

It doesn't interest me what you plan to do with your life.
I want to know what dreams your heart longs for.

It doesn't interest me if your living for tomorrow or yesterday.
I want to know if your living right now in the moment of today.

It doesn't interest me what your mood is.
I want to if you have been betrayed, knocked to the ground, if you can find something you love most in your life and live without it, if you can dance alone with sorrow and the feeling of emptiness.
I want to know if you can still be happy when all is gone.

It doesn't interest me what you believe in.
I want to know if you can believe in yourself; if you can stand true no matter what comes in your way.
I want to know if you won't buckle under pressure.
I want to know if you can get back up after being battered and bruised by life.
I want to know if you will stand back up no matter what knocks you down.

It doesn't interest me how good of a friend or popular you are.
I want to know if you are humble and can be a loyal friend.

It doesn't interest me where you think you are in life.
I want to know what moves you forward and keeps you behind.

It doesn't interest me who you are.
I want to know what you have done.
I want to know if you know who you are and what you stand for.
